Prof. Fu-Jian Xu obtained his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering in 1999 from East China University
of Science and Technology, M.Eng. in Biochemical Engineering in 2002 from the
Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. in
Biomolecular Engineering in 2006 from National University of Singapore (NUS).
After two-years of post-doctoral work as a Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellow in
NUS, he joined Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2009. His research
interests focus on functional biomacromolecules. He has published over 170
publications in well-known international journals. He was elected as one of the
winners for the “Program for New Century Excellent Talents in Universities
(2009)”,the “Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation (2010)”, the “Top Young Talents
of National Special Support Program (2012)” and the “National Science
Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars (2013)”. In 2014, he was selected
as the Distinguished Professor of “Chang Jiang Scholars Program”.
